Caution when booking theory and practical driving tests**
There are a number of websites which book tests and charge commision,
please be aware that you can book your tests directly through the DSA
website without incurring additonal charges.

Your lesson may need to be re arranged in the event of adverse weather
conditions.
If you need to drive in snow, your wheels must be turning to allow you
to steer! Be gentle with the controls.

Musselburgh MPTC Finally Open
Our new test
centre is up and running, we now have bay parking to
contend with, below is a video clip, this is the same method I teach
(ignore the reference to be 1 meter from the bay.)
Once you have watched it there is one for reversing to the right also.

New Driving Test Centre for Musselburgh
A New purpose
built driving test centre is being built in Musselburgh next to Aldi
and Lidl near the Shell garage at Fisher row harbour, this test centre
will eventually replace the Joppa test centre. The new centre will have
parking bays which will be used during the test for reverse bay
parking.
The opening date for
the new centre has been announced as the 26th of November 2007 and
bookings are now being taken for this centre.
Changes
to the Theory Test
From September 2007
the theory test for car drivers will see an increase in the number of
questions from 35 to 50. So get in quick and pass your theory test.
New
requirements for vehicles used on DSA Bus and Lorry practical tests
With effect from 1st
July 2007 the minimum requirements for vehicles used on DSA driving
tests will change. The new requirements include minimum length, minimum
weight, additional mirrors, ABS brakes and tachograph. All vehicles
must have seat belts for driver, examiner and superviser. Please check

When
should
you book your Practical Driving Test?
I will advise you when I feel you will be ready to attempt the
Practical
test. I base this on the number of lessons you are taking and the
waiting
time for the local test centres, this assumes you will maintain the
same
number of lessons per week to achieve the required standard. If you
reduce
the hours you put in this is likely to mean you do not meet the
required
standard in time for your test
I have a responsibility not to allow my car to be used for a test if I
feel
the candidate may cause danger through not being at the standard
required.
